Estate Document Preparation Guidance
Estate Planning is an essential component to your overall financial plan. It allows you to gain more control over aspects of your life both during your lifetime and after your passing. There are five major decisions that go into each estate plan.
For many people, estate document preparation is an incomplete priority—either postponed or outdated. These documents will guide your loved ones to folllow your wishes when you cannot advocate for yourself. Our service leverages a partnership with attorneys and colleagues to facilitate document preparation in-house for BASIC estate plans. If you are in need of more complex considerations, we have contacts to refer you on and help with completion.
Document Preparation Guidance typically results in completed Living Trust, Powers of Attorney for Healthcare & Finance, and wills.
We offer TWO paths for clients to complete their own documents:
Self-Paced Document Prep
Through our partnership with wealth.com, clients will "walk through" the process on their own and achieve document completion at their pace.
What to expect from this service:
- Clients are provided access to the system and will use a series of prompts and online help to complete documents on their own.
- This option is best for clients who are comfortable navigating technology/online platforms independently.
- Once complete, the documents will be printed, tabbed and sent directly to your home.
- Documents can be notarized in our office at no extra cost. Alternatively, you can personally arrange for a notary to come to your home, or you can select a mobile notary through wealth.com for an added fee.
- The process will also prompt you for re-registration of any properties at the completion of your documents. (Added cost per property/entity)
- Self-Paced option is more readily available without waiting for team schedules.
The cost for the self-paced option is $750. This includes the trust documents, along with a will, an advance healthcare directive, and a financial power of attorney.
Guided Document Prep
What to expect from this service:
- Clients are asked to complete an estate questionnaire prior to meeting for document guidance.
- A Vitucci Integrated Planning team member will guide you through the process via a zoom meeting as you create your documents.
- This option is best for clients that anticipate clarification questions, tend to need help with technology programs, and would like guidance from a team member.
- Estate document guidance meetings are primarily held via Zoom, with limited in-office availability.
- You can request re-registration of any properties at the completion of your documents. (Added cost per property/entity).
- Services are made available by capacity. Clients wait by virtual queue for availability.
The cost for the guided document prep is $1650. This includes the trust documents, along with a will, an advance healthcare directive, and a financial power of attorney.
Powers Only Package
A power of attorney (POA) is a legal document that authorizes a trusted individual to act on your behalf. It can be an important planning tool for adults over the age of 18, older individuals, and anyone who wants to ensure that financial, health, or legal decisions can be handled smoothly if they are unable to do so themselves.
What to expect from this service:
- Clients are asked to complete the powers plan questionnaire.
- A brief zoom meeting will be scheduled with a team member to guide you through the online forms.
- PDF documents will be provided once completed. If being notarized in our office, a printed copy will be available when you arrive to have them notarized.
- Documents can be notarized in our office at no extra cost. Alternatively, you can personally arrange for a notary to come to your home.
- Services are made available by capacity. Clients wait by virtual queue for availability.
Powers Package: $275 per person. This includes an advance healthcare directive, and a financial power of attorney and HIPPA release. This includes the documents for one person.
